Students got to dabble in working with low relief while creating textures and patterns on a piece of copper sheet metal. After "antiquing" their copper tooling with India ink to enhance the relief, students used oil pastels to extend their pattern onto a border. They seemed to really enjoy this project, and these pieces are looking lovely hanging in the halls--I just love the way the light catches the metal!
