In this lesson, students discussed the question: "Is graffiti art or vandalism?" They looked at work from Banksy, a famous graffiti artist who uses stenciled graffiti pieces to give a voice to social, economic, and political issues such as poverty, government surveillance, and equality. Then, they were challenged to create their own graffiti piece. Objectives included designing their own font, using bold colors, and having unity in their finished product. Check out some of their awesome works in progress!
