Where is the most interesting place your shoes have taken you? In this lesson, students learned about the importance of observation. Using their most important tool for drawing, their eyes, students worked through several blind contour drawings of their hands. For their final project, students drew their own shoes. They enlarged their shoes and were introduced to proportion. Finally, they added patterns within their shoes and/or a background representing where their shoes have walked.
Students were challenged to look at their shoes from an interesting perspective.
Mrs. Taylor's students worked on contour line drawings of birds!
