Seventh and eighth grade art students took a few moments to reflect on the things that make them happy. Hobbies or interests, pastimes, pets, whatever they felt they enjoyed. After writing them down they added color and even some illustrations. We then used the cups to meet people at our table and at least two others in the room as we looked for things we shared and differences we could ask and learn about. Contest link will provide you with the form and rules! Remember 7th and 8th grade students are allowed to choose one contest to participate in in place of a nine week drawing. Bring your work or a photo of it to me to receive credit.

What a privilege to work with our young artists and witness their excitement and growth throughout the year! Welcome Hillyard Artists!
I am excited for this school year! I look forward to working with and getting to know my art students. As we begin our journey together this year we look for your best efforts each day. Only through practice do we gain skill and grow!
