Here are some works that highlight pieces completed throughout the school year that were selected to be a part of next year's art show. The show will be on display for all of the 2015-2016 school year. We are so proud of the artists here at Hillyard and it has been rewarding to see growth in each individual. Keep creating over the summer, and thanks for a lovely year. After school last week, Mrs. Taylor and myself had a great time working with 5 volunteers to participate in making art for an art show that we were invited to participate in. Each student chose a flower that grows here in the Shenandoah Valley and used the medium of their choice to produce a work that has been entered into the show. Shenandoah National Park's new "Youth Art in the Park" contest will be part of this year's Wildflower Weekend, May 9-10, 2015.

Welcome Hillyard Artists!
I am excited for this school year! I look forward to working with and getting to know my art students. As we begin our journey together this year we look for your best efforts each day. Only through practice do we gain skill and grow!
